What kind of business do you want to see in Mahomet?  Should it be distribution focused? emphasize entertainment (river walk, restaurants & night spots)? interstate related? sports/outdoor focused (swimming, baseball, biking, hiking, softball)?  What are your ideas concerning the future of Mahomet business?  What is Mahomet uniquely positioned to provide?

Another idea kicked around at MAPP was a recreation center that could host sporting events such as baseball, soccer or softball.  Does anyone know of a place where this has been done (articles would be great to post here).  I know of TK Wendels in urbana but I do not know how they do financially.

One of the ideas that has been kicked around for a long time is a pool/acquatic center in Mahomet.  Does anyone have information or know of people with expertise concerning the viability of this idea.  My understanding has always been that acquatic centers were difficult to make work as commercial ventures and that they often take a park district to fund an operating short-fall.  Is this true?  Does anyone know of a project where a commercial pool was successful?  Do waterparks do better?
